Take Some Time to Recharge Your Stamina
If there comes a time when you need to take a leave of absence, it is important to know your rights.
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year. FMLA helps employees balance their work and family responsibilities by allowing them to take reasonable unpaid leave for certain family and medical reasons.
These reasons include:
Employees are eligible for leave if they have worked for their employer at least 12 months and at least 1,250 hours over the past 12 months.
Full-time employees with at least 12 months of employment with Aristocrat are eligible to receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave to support recovery following childbirth. This leave is paid at 100% of your regular pay, begins at the time of birth, and must be taken as one continuous leave period. Childbirth Recovery Leave runs concurrently with any applicable Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave and may also run concurrently with Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits. Approval for STD or another leave program does not extend Childbirth Recovery Leave beyond the maximum 8-week benefit period.

*If you are eligible for both Childbirth Recovery Leave and Bonding Leave, Bonding Leave is available after Childbirth Recovery Leave has been exhausted

This leave is paid at 100% of your regular pay and may be taken at any time within the first 12 months following the birth or placement. Bonding Leave must be taken as one continuous leave period.
